Alastair&Emily London Wedding Photography

Over the last few months I was based in England to shoot a few weddings and engagement sessions, also to escape the Sydney winter and plan for my own wedding! In between work and play I was thrilled to be a guest at Alastair and Emily’s Wedding in Shropshire, England. The English do know how to put on a good show and their wedding was absolutely beautiful down to the finest details. The reception was set in their family home in the country, even with the cows in the paddocks next to it. The sun was out in force by the time the reception started and it was the perfect day! I LOVE Emily’s bolero- sooo elegant and beautiful! Due to the fact I am attached at the hip to my camera, I was able to capture some absolute candid moments between the two of them. I made sure I didn’t get in the photographers way so I hope that you like this candid photography angle of the day. Thanks lovelies for letting me put these up:)PS. Ill be in England next summer too so if you need a wedding photographer get in touch!!

2011 – Thank You!!

It feels like 2010 was so long ago – what a year it has been – I can’t begin to describe the magical experiences I have had, and count my lucky stars for all the people that have made this year so special.

Anyone that runs his or her own business knows how difficult it is. You can’t leave your work at work, it comes with you wherever you are. It wakes you up in the middle of the night constantly, it finds you working at crazy hours and taking you away from family and friends. It drives you to the point of exhaustion only for that intrinsic benefit of happy clients. So without going into detail I was thrilled to be featured on many wedding blogs, win a few more awards and double my number of clients compared to my previous year of business.

I have been SO SO lucky to have so much wonderful support from all of my family and friends. From little things like comments on facebook and blog posts, to referring their engaged friends to me, to comforting me when I’m rundown and always having a keen interest in what I’m doing. I can’t begin to thank you for all of this because at the end of the day it can get a bit lonely and with your support it gives me the strength to power on.

I’ve also been blessed with the wonderful support of the wedding industry in Australia. You have been my backbone and continue to inspire me. You make my job so much easier and a joy to come to work. Thank you for your continued support and I cant wait to see what we can create together in 2012.

I can’t begin to thank my wonderful shooters – Jess, Lauren, Jo and Anika. Your beautiful work, enthusiasm and love of the craft has continued to inspire me and helped to make the business what it is today. I hope that you have enjoyed the experiences as much as I have and look forward to more fun next year.

Last but not least I wouldn’t be here without my beautiful clients. From Sydney to Ireland, England and everywhere in between. I have been so lucky to have you in my life and honored that you chose me to be part of your day. My favourite thing has been getting to know you and witnessing the joy you all experienced on your wedding day. I hope to see you again in the future so make sure to keep in touch and send you’re engaged friends my way – I’ll look after them, I promise!:)

I did take a couple of months off to do a bit of intense research in the industry as I got married to my gorgeous Ed. I learned a lot about being on the other side of the camera and which photos really made my family and I smile. I’ve always said from the start that I want to work for my clients as I would want my photographer to work for me. I have a very strong work ethic and aim to deliver as best that I can. All whilst having a bit of fun as well of course!

So looking forward, 2012 is already jam packed. I’m so excited at the weddings I have ahead of me and SUPER excited about seeing many of my weddings from 2011 in print – coming out in Cosmo Bride, Bride to Be and Real Weddings Magazines. I’m loving my new creative space that I share with Marissa and Jess and also thrilled to have Jess R working for me part time in the studio as well.

So time to finish my goals for 2012. I hope you have started yours and that they help to propel you into one of your best years yet. Happy New Year!! Loads of love Nadean.

PS. Watch this space for a cool new addition to my website:)Would love comments and feedback when it’s live.
